✨👣Hidden Green Lungs You Might Not Know

🌳 Aravalli Outcrops Near Delhi 🦩🌱

Delhi may be mostly concrete and traffic, but if you know where to look, you’ll find forests, ridges, and hills hiding in plain sight. The Aravalli range, one of the oldest mountain systems in the world, stretches into Delhi, offering unexpected patches of wilderness. Here are some of the most interesting spots:

🌿 Sanjay Van

Near Mehrauli and Vasant Kunj, Sanjay Van is a large expanse of Aravalli woodland tucked away between urban neighborhoods. A network of paths and shaded thickets makes it perfect for nature walks, birdwatching, and peaceful afternoons.

🌿 Asola-Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary

At Delhi’s southernmost point, this protected area is a real treat for nature lovers. Rolling hills, grasslands, and Acacia forests support birds, reptiles, and mammals. Trails here are better marked, and mornings here feel like stepping far away from the city.

🌿 Northern Ridge

North of Delhi University, this ridge runs through the heart of the city with quiet paths, rocky slopes, and shady groves. It’s ideal for quick hikes or evening walks, and often surprises visitors with how green and calm it feels.

🌿 Biodiversity Parks

Places like Tilpath Valley Biodiversity Park and Neela Hauz Biodiversity Park have been restored from degraded land into rich green spaces with wetlands, meadows, and native trees. They’re managed but still feel wild compared to typical city parks.
