Pehle yeh jagah Najafgarh Lake (Jheel) ke naam se famous thi.

Ek time pe yeh Delhi ki sabse badi natural lake thi.

Yeh area monsoon mein paani se bhar jaata hai aur winter mein migratory birds ka home ban jaata hai.
